Partnerships

Working in Partnership plays a major part in co-ordinating strategic planning in the delivery of quality local services.

BAVO and the voluntary sector is seen as an important partner in supporting the work of statutory bodies.

Local Service Board (LSB)

The LSB is the over-arching multi-agency body that brings together strategic partnerships in the county borough to coordinate service design, planning and delivery more effectively, to reduce duplication and promote joint working and share good practice. BAVO is a core member of the LSB and represents the local third sector on this partnership.

 

Health, Social Care & Well-Being (HSCWB)

Bridgend County Borough Council, Bridgend Local Health Board, Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations and partners have worked closely and in consultation with many groups and the public, to produce the first Health Social Care and Well-being Strategy for the people and communities of Bridgend County Borough.

 

Bridgend Children & Young People's Partnership (CYPP)

The CYPP coordinates inter-agency planning and development of services for children from 0 to 25 years old, as stipulated in the WAG Guidance (2004).

It recognises the need to put children & young people at the centre of service planning.

The Bridgend Children & Young People's Partnership has 3 themed sub-groups that incorporate the WAG seven core aims.

Bridgend Local Safeguarding Children Board (BLSCB)

The Bridgend Local Safeguarding Children Board is committed to keeping safe all children who live in and visit the County Borough of Bridgend. It is responsible for developing, monitoring and reviewing child protection and child safety policies, procedures and practice. Safer Bridgend Partnership

The Bridgend Community Safety Partnership involves various agencies from the public, private and voluntary sector that work together to reduce crime, disorder and fear of crime locally, in order to improve the quality of life and to create a safer living and working environment.

 

Joint Mental Health Strategy Planning

The Joint Mental Health Strategic Planning team (JMHSPT) oversees the design, delivery and monitoring of mental health service within the County Borough of Bridgend and the western Vale.  The team is currently chaired by Zoe Wallace who is the Head of Strategic Planning and Partnership for the Bridgend Local Health Board.

 

The Bridgend Compact

The Compact is an agreement between the government and the voluntary and community sector, that aims to improve their relationship for mutual advantage and community gain.

 

Substance Misuse Action Team

The SMAT is a sub group of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP). The SMAT is responsible for how substance misuse services in Bridgend are planned and delivered.
