BAVO's May volunteering e-bulletin packed full of opportunities for you!

In celebration of national Volunteers’ Week 1 – 7 June, BAVO will be at various local locations giving out volunteering information.

Volunteering Wales website …..prepare for changes ahead! Significant changes to the Volunteering Wales website are on the way. If your organisation uses the website to advertise for volunteers - take note! 

Join us at the Bridgend County Show! BAVO will have a marquee at the Bridgend County Show on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 July 2018. This will give voluntary and community organisations in Bridgend County Borough an opportunity to raise awareness of their individual projects, highlighting volunteer opportunities and the support that is available to individuals.

Bridgend Volunteer Achievement Awards 2018 to be launched during Volunteers’ Week 1 – 7 June ...  We will be holding our annual BAVO Bridgend Volunteer Achievement Awards in November 2018 and we want your nominations! This year, we will be opening our nominations process during Volunteers’ Week so that you will have plenty of time to nominate your fantastic volunteers.

Do you have an hour to spare? We desperately need more volunteer befrienders.

Link Up Project: 'Strengthening 3rd sector skills' - BAVO is working in partnership with  Swansea CVS and Neath/Port Talbot CVS to strengthen third sector governance and skills development through a range of interventions, such as recruiting and matching skilled mentors from public, private and independent sectors with third sector organisations. Volunteering is integral to achieving our Big Lottery funded project.
