Invitation to join the UNA Exchange Board of Trustees
Date published: 26/04/2018
Are you passionate about the beneficial outcomes of international volunteering? Do you want to support Future Generations well-being goals at home and UN sustainable development?
The Cardiff-based international volunteering charity, UNA Exchange, is recruiting dynamic individuals to join their Board of Trustees with the drive and skills to take forward our vision of a globally responsible Wales.
Their core business comprises international exchanges to and from Wales, empowering individuals to take part in a variety of voluntary service projects that develop communities, protect the historic and natural environments and promote inter-cultural understanding. Aimed predominately at young people aged 18–30, they provide opportunities ranging from two-week residentials through to 12-month overseas placements. They also provide a programme of supported volunteering for young people furthest from the labour market and most at risk of social exclusion.
Having secured significant funding from Welsh Government and the European Commission for the next two years and with ambitious plans for development, this is a superb time to join the charity’s management committee.
Expressions of interest are warmly invited from individuals from all backgrounds. They are especially keen to recruit people with a selection of the following skills and experience:
- Youth work (practice and policy);
- Financial management;
- Income generation and grant application;
- Donor and alumni development;
- Welsh language;
- Public Affairs.
To apply, please supply a CV and covering letter detailing your motivation to become a UNA Exchange trustee and what skills and experience you would bring to the role. They ask all applicants to consider how they would fit the time commitment around work and family life.
