Volunteer opportunities for StreetGames Multi Sport Festival 3 August 2017

The StreetGames' Multi Sport Festival is returning to the Principality Stadium, Cardiff on Thursday 3 August logo2017.  Once again, there will be over 40 activities for young people to try out.  It is a free day out for young people from targeted communities, between the ages of 10 and 16 years. The event is designed to provide young people with an  opportunity to try new sports and physical activities in an iconic sporting venue. An experience and memory that they will carry with them for a long time. 

Applications are now open for those 16 years plus who would like to volunteer and be a part of delivering and supporting this event. The amount of time you give is up to you. It does not have to be the full day, it could be the morning or afternoon, or even the day before - the organisers appreciate any time you can give . There are a variety of roles to sign up to (listed below) to help deliver a successful day.

Types of roles include:

  • Registration of all attendees;
  • Meet and greet VIPs;
  • Volunteer Zone Manager-  organising and managing volunteers in their zones;
  • Activity support - assisting with the delivery of various sporting activities;
  • Overall support - preparing the stadium for the event and clearing up at the end of the day;
  • General support - ad hoc duties during the course of the event to enable everything to run smoothly.

StreetGames will provide: 

  • An event volunteering T-shirt, lunch and water (on the day);
  • A two hour pre-event workshop has been arranged prior to the event to ensure smooth delivery on the day. This workshop will be on  Monday 17tJuly 6-8pm in Cardiff venue TBC for all volunteers, where roles and responsibilities will be shared.;
  • A Volunteer Manager and Co-ordinators point of contact at all times;
  • A volunteer event guide.
