Are you looking to make new friends, to increase your confidence, or to advance your cv?logo

Community Cooperative SUSSED in Porthcawl are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable individuals, to work in our community shop, SUSSED, for a morning or an afternoon. You would be helping customers purchase both Fairtrade and eco-friendly items, as well as locally sourced goods.

The project supports people who want to make ethical choices and adds to the range of independent shops in Porthcawl - vital to maintain a diverse high street and strengthen the local economy.

SUSSED also collaborates with charity Sustainable Wales, their developing local renewable energy campaign, Bridgend Fairtrade Partnership, the ‘pop-up café’ and various events in the Green Room.

Training will be provided in shop procedures, customer relations, or office administration etc. Our friendly team of volunteers are all ages and work a morning or afternoon shift.

As a volunteer, you will also become a member of the cooperative SUSSED, which will entitle you to a 10% discount (except on food, local and toiletries) as well as say on how SUSSED operates and grows, at AGM’s plus volunteer meetings.
