EFAW- one day (13 June):
The aim of the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is to enable an individual to be able to act as an appointed person to take charge of the first aid arrangements, including looking after the equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Medical Services when required.
Paediatric First Aid – two days (14 and 15 June):
On the course you will learn how to deal with a wide range of first aid situations within early years setting including: managing an unresponsive casualty, paediatric CPR, choking, shock, bleeding and wounds, along with other minor injuries.
Following the successful completion of either course, the learners will be able to:
- Assess the situation;
- Protect from danger;
- Summons appropriate help;
- Prioritise treatment;
- Minimise infection risks;
- Reporting accident and recording incidents.
