Royal National Institute for the Blind offering free training to staff and volunteers of voluntary organisations

Date published: 23/03/2018

Training will be available in April 2018 and takes place in the Activity Room, RNIB Cymru, Jones LogosCourt, Womanby St Cardiff, CF10 1BR.

This free training offer is part of the Big Lottery Fund's project 'Online Today' and is being provided by RNIB Cymru.

This training equips staff, volunteers and professionals working within the community with the knowledge, confidence and understanding to help people with sight loss access the benefits of being online and show that, despite sight loss, partially sighted and blind people can access, use and enjoy all aspects of the internet too.

This includes using skype to contact loved ones and help combat loneliness, getting better deals on utility bills to help stretch limited budgets or doing grocery shopping on line.

Session One: A half day’s training to build basic knowledge of how people with sight loss can get online and help you feel more confident about talking about their options

Session Two: A half day’s training to complement session 1 so you will be able to give basic demonstrations of accessibility functions

Please note, you can book for either Session one or two, or both and have the option to do them on the same day or different days. However, there must be separate bookings for each session.
