At the end of this workshop participants should be able to

  • Understand roles and responsibilities across agencies;
  • Recognise how lessons learnt can and should influence practice;
  • Have an awareness of existing and emerging legislation and procedures;
  • Describe the impact of abuse on children/young people and their families.

Target Group:
Professionals and carers who are directly involved in working with children and their family members, plus newly qualified social workers
