Wales Public Service Summer School 2017

The 12th annual Wales Public Service Summer School is now open for applications. 

Wales Public Service Summer School is an immersive residential learning programme where approximately 250 people from across the public and third sector in Wales come together each year.

Summer School will be held from 26-30 June 2017 at University of Wales, Trinity St David in Lampeter with this year’s theme ‘Leading by Choice – becoming a deliberately disciplined leader’

Speakers for Summer School 2017 include:

Dame Louise Casey DBE CB: At the request of the Prime Minister, Dame Louise is now leading a review into opportunity and integration in some of our most isolated communities.

Chia-Jung Tsay, UCL School of Management: As an Assistant Professor her research examines the psychological processes that influence decision making and interpersonal perception in performance contexts.

Emmanuel Gobillot: An acclaimed author, Emmanuel is described as ‘the first leadership guru for the MySpace generation’ and ‘the freshest voice in leadership today’.

Eldar Shafir, Princeton University: Eldar’s research focuses on cognitive science and behavioural economics.  He served as a member of President Barack Obama’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability. 

Sophie Scott, University College of London: Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, Sophie’s research investigates the neural basis of vocal communication.
