Whizz-Kidz is a charity that supports young wheelchair users up to the age of 25, through a number of free Posterservices including:

  • Funded mobility equipment;
  • Wheelchair skills training;
  • Youth clubs;
  • Employability training;
  • Work placements;
  • Residential camps;
  • Volunteering opportunities.

Find out how Whizz-Kidz can support you by dropping into Bridgend College - Cowbridge Road, Bridgend, CF31 3DF on 4 April 2019 from 2 - 6pm.

Jayne Simonson, Service Delivery Manager - Wales says: "When I speak to families, I hear the same issues across the board: "Support services are great but it's not easy to find information about them" and "Once my child is 18, there's nothing there for them!" For this reason, Whizz-Kidz have decided to hold Information Hubs for parents and professionals who would like to find out more about our support services and funding options.

"Whizz-Kidz supports young wheelchair users aged 0-25 so we can help bridge the transition out of children's services, while still providing support, fun and friendship. We also have funding available to provide you with new mobility equipment and adaptations to your current wheelchair to make the day-to-day a little bit easier.

"If you know a young person with a mobility impairment that may be interested in our free services, or someone that would like information about our funded mobility equipment - tell them to pop in to one of our information hubs to have a chat with our team.

"We will have equipment demonstrations from our engineering team and information stands about our young people's services. Our team are available to answer all of your questions so please come down and say hello."

Drop in sessions are also organised in Swansea, Cardiff, Haverfordwest and Neath from February - June 2019, read more here for further details >>>
