Action on Disability: Right to Independent Living Consultation events and survey
Date published: 13/11/2018
As some of you may be aware, Welsh Government have recently launched a consultation on a new action policy to improve access to help, advice and services for disabled people in Wales.
'Action on Disability: Right to Independent Living' will replace the current 'Framework for Action on Independent Living' which was launched by Welsh Government in 2013 to tackle barriers to independent living faced by disabled people. Welsh Government is currently inviting the public to respond to their draft action plan.
Disability Wales will be submitting a response to 'Action on Disability: Right to Independent Living' and they would like to hear your views on the proposed plan.
They will be holding two engagement events to give you the opportunity to tell them in person your views of the new policy 'Action on Disability: Right to Independent Living'. These two events are:
- Friday 7 December 2018 - Liberty Stadium, Swansea;
- Tuesday 11 December 2018 - Catrin Finch Centre, Wrexham.
Both events will run from 10.45am - 3.30pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Spaces are limited, you can register for the events here >>>

Disability Wales has put together a short online survey to hear your views on Welsh Government's action plan. They would be grateful if you could spare the time to complete this survey and let them know what you think about the plan and what Welsh Government should do to improve access and opportunities for disabled people in Wales.
