ABMU Health Board stakeholders letter regarding Bridgend boundary change
Date published: 20/06/2018
Back in December last year, Welsh Government launched a three month public consultation which proposed changing the Health Board boundary for the Bridgend population.
Taking into consideration all the views expressed through the consultation process, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Services, Vaughan Gething AM, has announced that from 1st April 2019, the responsibility for providing healthcare services for people in the Bridgend County Borough Council area will move from ABM University Health Board to Cwm Taf University Health Board.
It is recognised that any changes to health structures can result in concerns being raised about the possible impact on services for patients. It is therefore really important to recognise that both Health Boards have given their full assurance that there are no planned service changes linked to the boundary change.
