Your NHS - help it change for the better
Date published: 23/05/2018
Public engagement from 3 May - 27 June 2018.
ABMU Health Board is currently engaging on why they believe the NHS needs to change and their ideas for future NHS care. They are sharing these ideas with you and want your ideas of how services should change.
The engagement document specifically outlines two areas of change that ABMU Health Board would like to make in 2018:
- Patients spending less time in hospital, so allowing ABMU Health Board to reduce hospital beds;
- Developing more community based services to support older people with mental health problems, again allowing ABMU Health Board to reduce beds.
ABMU Health Board want you to have a say about how your local NHS services can give the best possible care now, and in the future. The closing date for you to provide your views is 27th June 2018.
The outcome of the engagement will be considered by the CHC and Health Board in July 2018. Based on this decisions will be made about whether these proposed changes can be implemented or whether further public consultation is required.
