The purpose of these events:
One of the aims of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Support Hub is to develop knowledge and skills amongst professionals, providing training for them to enable themselves and their organisations to grow their internal and external networks to change practice. To underpin this work Cymru Well Wales are developing an ACE Skills and Knowledge Framework. The Framework will describe the skills and knowledge required across a number of workforce layers (from core general awareness through to specialists and required skills and knowledge for managers and leaders).
The aspiration is for an ACE-aware Wales and Wales as a world leader in ACE-free childhoods. To achieve this everyone must be aware of ACEs, their prevalence and impact across the life course, and their own role in mitigating the impact and reducing the prevalence of ACEs. Cymru Well Wales want to create a Framework relevant for all sectors; a Framework that can be used by individuals, professionals and organisations to identify learning needs, inform development activity and support how ACE-informed approaches are embedded.
If you are interested in contributing to the development of the Framework, please come along to one of our engagement events.
