The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) protects people in England and Wales who may not have the mental capacity to make certain decisions for themselves, such as about their health and finance.
OPG is an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice.
Following the House of Lords scrutiny committee recommendations, OPG want to assess levels of understanding about lasting powers of attorney, and other legal documents, among professional groups within the adult safeguarding landscape.
