Smart Energy GB launches 2018 grant programme
Date published: 04/05/2018
Smart Energy GB in Communities is part of Smart Energy GB's campaign to inform and inspire people about smart meters and the benefits they bring. Through the programme, they are partnering with regional and local organisations from the voluntary and public sectors. This means they are able to work with trusted, expert organisations across the country to ensure people understand the benefits of smart meters and know how to get one.
Smart Energy GB in Communities is providing a range of advice and support including funding to help deliver projects and activities that engage their communities with the smart meter campaign.
The grant programme for 2018 has now launched and is targeting funding and support to partners reaching people who are over the age of 60 with no personal internet access, those over the age of 65 and those who are severely or profoundly deaf. There will be two rounds of funding:
- Round 1 of their fund will be focussed on activity targeted at reaching people who are over the age of 60 with no personal internet access or over the age of 65. Grants are available up to £5000;
- Round 2 of their fund will be focussed on activity targeted at reaching the severely or profoundly deaf. Grants available up to the value of £7500.
