Cadw's Historic Building Grant Scheme open for 2018-19
Date published: 21/03/2018
Owners of listed community buildings across Wales can now apply for funding through Cadw’s Historic Building Grant Scheme.
The scheme is offering grants as a contribution towards the cost of repairing and restoring historic community assets such as village and community halls, institutes and libraries. Places of Worship which are open for wider community use may also apply.
The focus for Cadw’s grant will be on historic building repair schemes which will help save listed buildings that are at risk and/or stimulate regeneration opportunities and deliver benefits to Welsh communities. One of the ways in which these benefits can be provided is through skills development and access opportunities. You will find more information about this in ‘Grants for Historic Assets: Skills development and access opportunities.’
Cadw would normally fund the costs of up to 50% of grant eligible works up to a maximum of £50,000; however each application will be considered on a case be case basis.
