National Churches Trust's Partnership Grant Programme opens for 2018

The Partnership Grant programme is provided by the National Churches Trust in partnership with local churches trusts across England, and across Wales and Northern Ireland, with the goal of helping the local churches trusts to flourish.

Grants of between £2,500 and £10,000 are available for urgent repair projects with estimated costs of between £10,000 and £100,000 (including VAT and fees). 

The following criteria apply:  

  • Project must be led by a qualified professional - a chartered architect (RIBA) or chartered building surveyor (RICS) or engineer with conservation accreditation (eg AABC) if working on a listed building;
  • Opening times - the place of worship should open to the public, beyond worship, for a minimum of 40 days a year, in line with other grant-giving bodies;
  • Friends - at least three members of the congregation must join the Friends of the National Churches Trust for a minimum of three years. The annual membership fee is currently £30 per person per year by Direct Debit.

There will be three closing dates for applications in 2018. The first application deadline is 10 January 2018.
