GAVO has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and flexible team player to join them in supporting young people aged 14 – 25 years old, in the Newport area. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and support both the volunteers and the Volunteer Involving Organisations, to experience a positive and meaningful placement. Experience of recruiting and working with volunteers and an understanding of the Third Sector are essential, along with an awareness of safeguarding procedures.

It’s an exciting time for ELITE Supported Employment as they begin JobSense, a new three-year employment project, with their  project partners Action on Hearing Loss and the Centre for Sight and Sound. JobSense aims to support people with sensory loss (those who are deaf, have hearing loss, blind or have sight loss) into work.

They are looking for experienced individuals who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of people who have sensory loss and have previously worked or volunteered with people who are blind or vision impaired.

They are recruiting for three full times roles;

  • Employment Consultant, £25,000 pa. Working across North Powys, Flintshire and Wrexham;
  • Employment Consultant, £25,000 pa. Working across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, Newport, Monmouth, South Powys;
  • Specialist Employment Advisor, £24,000 pa. Three posts available. Working across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, Newport, Monmouth, and Powys.

They are also recruiting for a part time role:

  • Project Administrator, £17,500 pro rata. 18.5 hours per week. Based in ELITE head office, Llantrisant, or a local branch.

People First Bridgend is the leading local charity for People with learning disabilities and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the county of Bridgend.  The organisation champions the rights of people with learning disabilities and/or ASD and enables them to have a voice, make decisions and have control over the issues that matter to them. This exciting new role is a busy, varied, hands-on role to develop and coordinate a new Young People First Bridgend initiative.
