Project Facilitator to set up an exciting new pilot, funded by the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme. logo

‘Autism works’ is a three month initiative to improve the opportunities for people with ASD to secure and remain in employment and will take place during Summer 2018.  The project will raise awareness among employers about the benefits of employing people with ASD and the often small, low cost adjustments that make good business sense.  It will provide training to professionals on the needs specific to people with ASD, along with support to people with ASD and taster sessions leading to work placements.

Groundwork Wales seeking to appoint two Trusteeslogo

Groundwork Wales supports communities in need, working with partners to help improve the quality of people’s lives, their prospects and potential and the places where they live, work and play. Their vision is of a society of sustainable communities which are vibrant, healthy and safe, which respect the local and global environment and where individuals and enterprise prosper

Candidates will have experience as trustees and knowledge of the changing public and private funding and policy environments in which Groundwork operates. They are seeking Trustees with the energy, time, passion and creativity to support them take this unique and dynamic organisation to the next stage in its development. They are particularly under-represented by those who can support them by dedicating time to Human Resources, marketing and publicity and Charity Governance and Law.  Groundwork Wales is under-represented by Trustees from Mid and West Wales. 

They are also seeking a trustee willing to take on the role of company secretary.

Board meetings are usually held in Pontllanfraith, Blackwood once a quarter, but they are seeking Trustees who can support them in representing and supporting the organisation in a variety of ways.

Citizens Advice Bridgend County Borough looking for new Trustees

Citizens Advice Bridgend County Borough provide free, confidential and impartial advice and campaign on big logoissues affecting people's lives.

Their goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face. They are an independent charity and part of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales.

People come to them with all sorts of issues. People may have money, benefit, housing or employment problems. They may be facing a crisis, or just considering their options. They value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination wherever they see it.
