Partnerships
Working in Partnership plays a major part in co-ordinating strategic planning in the delivery of quality local services.
BAVO and the voluntary sector is seen as an important partner in supporting the work of statutory bodies.
Below are some links to the partnerships we are involved in:Joint Mental Health Planning Team
The Joint Mental Health Strategic Planning team (JMHSPT) oversees the design, delivery and monitoring of mental health service within the County Borough of Bridgend and the western Vale. The team is currently chaired by Zoe Wallace who is the Head of Strategic Planning and Partnership for the Bridgend Local Health Board.
The JMHSPT is a partnership and its membership consists of voluntary and statutory organisations working within Mental Health, Health & Social Care and Community Health Council.
The team's work is also supported by 7 sub groups that focus on specific areas of work such as; Accommodation needs of mental health users, Co-occurring mental health & substance misuse services, Day services, The interface between community and acute services, Joint Training Needs, Mental Health Promotion and Ongoing service planning and development.
Download a diagram showing the structure of sub groups and their current chairs.
Download the current 'Terms of Reference' of the team.
The partnership has an agreed values statement which guides everything it does. Download a copy of the agreed values.
To ensure the work of the team is focused on current need, the partnership has prepared and agreed an Action Plan. Download a copy of the Action Plan.
The Voluntary Sector is well represented throughout the JMHSPT and its sub groups and the current chair of the Bridgend Mental Health Voluntary Sector Network sits on the main team and insures that voluntary sector views and issues are heard and addressed.
If you would like to know more about the ongoing work of the JMHSPT, or would like to link your organisation into the work of the Bridgend Mental Health Voluntary Sector Network contact Andy Fraser at BAVO on 01656 810400.
